Tast 50 et 51 de Pauline

Je suis en retard ! Pour plein de choses ! Du coup, je crois que je vais faire mon projet pour le point 51 un peu plus tard, parce que là, je ne m'en sorts plus. Par contre, Pauline a brodé ses points très consciencieusement. Je vous les montre donc, avec ceux de la semaine dernière que j'ai encore oublié de poster. Décidément, je suis vraiment une mère indigne.

Dessiner une ellipse avec un bout de papier

Dans les recherches des visiteurs, je viens de trouver "tracer un ovale avec un compas". La prof de math que je suis a tout de suite réagi. Tracer une ellipse est souvent utile en broderie, en bricolage, en dessin, etc... Et il y a une méthode toute simple le faire. Une ellipse est une sorte de cercle aplati. Il y a donc un petit rayon et un grand rayon (appelés petit axe et grand axe).

• Sur une feuille de papier, celle où vous voulez dessiner votre ellipse, tracer les axes de celle-ci, c'est-à-dire deux droites se coupant à angle droit, et marquez sur ceux-ci les sommets.
• Prenez une bande de papier, bien droite, ou le bord d'une autre feuille.
• placez dessus un point "O" à droite,
• puis un point "Y" à sa gauche de façon à ce que la distance entre Y et O soit égale au grand rayon (fig. 1),
• et enfin un point "X" entre les deux, de façon à ce que la distance entre Y et O soit égale au petit rayon (fig. 2),
• Sur la première feuille, placer le point Y sur l'axe vertical et le point X sur l'axe horizontale, le point O est alors un point de votre ellipse (fig. 3).
• il vous suffit maintenant de faire pivoter la bande de papier, en gardant X et Y chacun sur son axe, pour placer une série de points qu'il n'y a plus qu'à relier pour obtenir une ellipse (fig. 4).

•  On a paper sheet, where you want to draw your ellipse, draw their axes, that is to say two lines intersecting at right angles, and mark the tops of the ellipses on them.
• Take a strip of paper, straight, or the edge of another sheet.
• Place over a point "O" on the right,
• then a point "Y" to the left so that the distance between O and Y is equal to the larger radius (fig. 1),
• and finally a point "X" between the two, so that the distance between O and Y is equal to the smaller radius (fig. 2).
• On the first sheet, place the point Y on the vertical axis and the point on the horizontal axis X, the point O is then a point of your ellipse (fig. 3).
• Now simply rotate the paper strip, keeping X and Y each on its axis, to draw a series of points that you have just to link to obtain your ellipse (fig. 4).

Tast 50 : point de groseille

Non, ce n'est pas le nom français du point que nous propose Sharon cette semaine. La traduction littérale du nom qu'elle proposait, berry stitch, est "point de baie", mais j'aime mieux "point de groseille". Et puis d'abord, je fais ce que je veux, c'est mon blog. Na !!

This week, Sharon named her stitch "berry stitch". The literal translation is "point de baie".

Vu la saisonnalité, l'utilisation de ce point s'imposait d'elle-même : de petites baie de houx. 

As Chrismass is soon, the use of this point was necessary small holly berries.

Comme ça faisait un peu maigre, je l'ai également utilisé pour faire une bordure à mon petit ornement de Noël. J'ai donc mis une petite perle au milieu, puis un point de chaînette au fil rouge, ensuite un point de chaînette au fil doré, et enfin, le point de feston fermé. C'était assez sympa à broder, mais plutôt long.

As it was a little few, I also used it to make a border to my little Christmas ornament. So I put a small bead in the middle, then a chain stitch in red thread, then a chain stitch in gold thread, and finally, a closed buttonhole stitch. It was pretty cool to embroider, but rather long.
