I recently bought "Jolies mascottes en feutrine" (Pretty Felt Mascots) from Editions de Saxe, written by Japanese creative and I don't know if this book was translated in English. But I love it: it is full of lovely little felt things. I already try two or three one, with a real pleasure.
The cover speaks about 100 different models, but some are variations. However, there is still a fifties different figures. The explanations are clear and detailed.
The only thing I can reproach to it is a presentation a little dense. The book is only 64 pages, and frankly, the double would have been god, with larger and less tight graphics.I think that, as announced in coverage, some models are suitable for beginners, but it can be good idea to enlarge a bit some templates. They are designed for pets 2 inches high, fine for pins or other niceties, but a bit small for beginners. For example, I have kept the original size of the matryoshka, but I enlarged the dogs about 50%. Do not look after the fox in the book, it is not in. It is a dog I modified a bit. I think foxes do not have good reputation in Japan.
