Some time ago, I suggested to Maline a little experiment. I embroider, and she scraps, so why not try to mix these two techniques. After some debating, we decided to make the cover of a photo album. So I embroidered the hearth below and Maline will include it in one of her works. I can not wait to see the final result.

I found the model in the magazine "Broderie Créative, Mains et Merveilles n° 32" and I just modified it to include initials. I liked embroidering these poppies with buttonhole stitch with a varied DMC thread. I'll have to think about this use of buttonhole stitch for other projects.
I took the opportunity to use ribbon embroidery. I would like to practice a little more this technique, but I did not really had a chance to use it so far. I tried several variations for these roses before finding the aspect that I wanted. It was the flowers that were bothering me the most at the beginning of the project, but finally they were not these that gave me the most trouble.
On the other hand, I had a lot of problems with the daffodils. The ribbon is a fickle material which make not necessarily what we want.
I have to sew a second work that Maline also include in her scrap and then I would recover. I have a couple of ideas about this subject, but I'm missing the key ingredient: time.
